Submissions for PLATFORM are now closed.
PLATFORM is a residency for three emerging local artists looking to develop their practice. Over six weeks Surface will provide the space and resources to help the artists create new work, and the environment to support reflective thinking and development. The residency will culminate in a group exhibition at Surface in the new year, the artists will have regular group crits and support sessions to build towards this goal.
We are keen to receive submissions that are innovative and critically informed, that are willing to be developed and pushed further.
Surface is an arts collective based on mutually supportive professional development; we support emerging and mid-career artists, and people wishing to work in the arts sector. This residency will help us in achieving this key objective, as we move towards fully reopening our gallery spaces.
Each artist will receive:
· An £800 bursary to support their practice.
